Christine Marsh, the 2016 Arizona Teacher of the Year, talks about what really matters in the classroom. It’s not facts and figures or reciting MacBeth but rather ensuring your students feel valued and important and respected. Arizona has 120,000 kids without their own full-time, certified teacher, and Christine can’t imagine how those kids are getting through the day or school year without feeling valued and special. In the end, that’s all that matters.
